MORE MILK ZURI!

Funded by a GCRF impact award from the BBSRC, this comic about genetic selection in agriculture was commissioned as an outreach project by the Centre for Livestock Genetics and Tropical Health and the Roslin Institute for use in East Africa.

I wrote and illustrated the story of Zuri, a special cow who wants to have babies that make lots of creamy milk to feed all the children in her village. But which bull should she choose? She can’t read DNA, only Kiswahili, but luckily she has friends to help…

Translated into swahili, this comic book was disseminated to Kenyan school children in 2020.
